Barn Dance Will Resume in September We’re taking a summer break from our traditional barn dances in Mapleton. Please plan on joining us again in September. Performance Opportunities If anyone is interested in performing at The Courtyard at Jamestown, a retirement center, please contact Laurie Smith at 377-3730. Our family has done this before and throughly enjoyed the experience of associating with these lovely people. Another performance opportunity is with the Santaquin Senior Citizens group. They meet at lunchtime on Fridays. If interested, please contact Claudia Peterson at 754-5310. IAM Calendar Click here to see what is scheduled. The Institute of American Music was founded in 1993 for the purpose of providing individuals and groups the opportunity to study traditional American and Bluegrass music. It provides a forum for students at all skill levels whereby they may learn from one another through means of individual lessons, group performances and informal workshops. The Institute provides a well-rounded musical experience for those desiring to develop their talents in acoustic music.
