RTracks is a 3-CD set of 1,039 mp3 tracks to help you practice the 50 Tunes effectively! RTracks gives you guitar chords with metronome at various tempos from 40 on the slow end to 132 on the fast end.

The 50 Tunes RTracks are essential to anyone learning from the 50 Tunes series. For fast tunes (which does not include waltzes, jigs and slow tunes) there are 21 rhythm tracks–one each for the following metronome speeds: 40, 50, 60, 63, 66, 69, 72, 76, 80, 84, 88, 92, 96, 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 126 and 132. Cotton Patch Rag has additional rhythm tracks due to an extended arrangement of the tune. Arkansas Traveler, Battle Cry of Freedom, Beaumont Rag, Cotton-eyed Joe, Devil's Dream and Turkey in the Straw have rhythm tracks for additional key signatures.

Rhythm tracks for all fast tunes, and the 2 slow tunes (Aura Lee and Battle Cry of Freedom), start with 8 metronome clicks followed by guitar-with-metronome one time through the tune in standard form. Standard form means: play part A twice and part B twice. This standard form is labeled: AABB.

Rhythm tracks for jigs and all 4 waltzes start with 6 metronome clicks followed by guitar-with-metronome one time through the tune in standard form (AABB) or in half-standard form (AB). Since slow tunes are meant to be played slow, rhythm tracks for slow tunes and waltzes are recorded at 2 metronome speeds rather than 21. These 2 speeds are: 72 and 92.

Rhythm tracks for jigs (Irish Washerwoman and Swallowtail Jig) are recorded at 19 speeds rather than 21. These 19 speeds are the same as fast tunes listed above except that speeds 40 and 50 are omitted.

MP3 Players You can play these MP3 CDs in your DVD player or on your computer. If that is not an option, you can purchase a CD player that plays MP3s. Numerous electronics companies make CD players with MP3 capabilities. Be sure to shop around.
