Mendonhouse

Mendonhouse is a musical quartet that performs original music in an American folk style. The band members are Cherie Call on guitar and voice; Catherine Larsen on piano; Geoff Groberg on bass; and Mark Geslison on mandolins. The band’s music repertoire is primarily original music composed by Cherie and Catherine. The band’s name comes from northern Utah. Cherie’s family once had a summer vacation house in Mendon, Utah where they would go for summer trips. They always referred to the house as the “Mendon house” because of its location. After several years as a songwriter and performing artist, Cherie created a publishing company for her original works. She named the company Mendonhouse. And since the band plays a majority of Cherie’s songs, band members agreed that Mendonhouse was an appropriate band name.
